Information session was held in State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance.
Information session was organized for NGOs in the Agency regarding the joint grant competition held by the Council on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance.
Head of the Marketing and Public Relations Department of the Agency Aynura Ahmadova stated that one of the main purposes of the grant competition jointly held with the Council on “Awareness raising of people on mandatory health insurance in the regions” is to assist NGOs to implement the projects achieving more efficient and beneficial outcomes. According to her, participation of 12 NGOs in the information session is the indicator of NGOs interest in the competition jointly held by the Council with the Agency. A.Ahmadova provided participants with detailed information on current situation of applying mandatory health insurance system in the country, advantages of the system and its benefits for the population. She mentioned that the Agency will provide NGOs with awareness raising materials on mandatory health insurance and called them to submit interesting project proposals on the afore-mentioned topic.
Head of the section of public relations of the Council’s Secretariat Elmaddin Behbud emphasized that announcement of the grant competition with 18 state bodies and other agencies covering 98 topics in 2020 by the Council is an important innovation. E.Behbud said that holding joint grant competition with state agencies and other institutions will strengthen NGO-Government cooperation, mutual trust and dialogue and will increase NGOs’ opportunities and the efficiency of the projects. Representative of the Council said that holding joint competitions creates favorable opportunities for increasing transparency and strengthening public control. E.Behbud said that it would be more expedient if specialized NGOs would apply for the competition held with the Agency like in other joint grant competitions.
Advisor of the Section of e-services and internal control of the Council’s Secretariat Elnur Bagirli presented a video of the Council's rules on how to use the e-Application Service, which is included in the Fast Coordination and Project Management System.
During the informational session, the NGOs' questions regarding grant competition were answered.
